It is hoped that service activities by UMM lecturers will be more oriented towards the development of Muhammadiyah Business Associations and Charities (AUM). Prof. Latipun., Ph.D., Director of the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, holding this service can provide multiple benefits.
The first benefit is that the Association and AUM are expected to develop more quickly, because their management and programs receive support from lecturers as expertise and students as their team.
Second, lecturers will have a direct contribution to the development of the Association and AUM. They not only teach in class but also participate in the development of Persyarikatan and AUM.
UMM has prepared a community service activity package, namely, science and technology development service, community service activities introducing COE and AUM development. Lecturers have the opportunity to be involved in advancing the organization.
There is a lot that can be done in community service schemes, for example, development and learning in schools, development of business units and community programs in a broad scope, contemporary models of da'wah in the community and much more.
