Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) has issued an internal research scheme. There are a number of questions asked by researchers. You can submit two proposals, must have internal lecturers, and so on. The following is the explanation.
As is the current view, good research cannot be done alone. Research is better and has higher value if carried out as a team. Therefore, internal research schemes at UMM must be carried out as a team.
However, lecturers in the doctoral education category with the positions of Associate Professor and Professor, their team members are from other universities (PT) from within the country or abroad. If you want to add team members from UMM, that is also allowed. The obligation is to partner with researchers outside UMM, while those from UMM are additional.
Meanwhile, lecturers with lower positions (including those with academic positions as Head Professors with Masters degrees) must be UMM researchers/lecturers. Lecturers in this category are allowed and encouraged to also collaborate with other universities outside UMM, both domestically and abroad.
In accordance with applicable regulations, lecturers who propose research may apply for a community service scheme, as chairman or service member. What if I submit a textbook? Applications for funding to write textbooks can only be made by lecturers who do not submit research. So, research schemes and textbook writing schemes are optional. That means choose one.
Can a lecturer submit two research proposals, one proposal as chairman and the other proposal as a member? What is expected from this internal research funding is the quality of research results, not the number of research proposals. In accordance with the provisions, a lecturer cannot be involved in two or more internal research scheme proposals.
If there is a good idea, it is hoped that the proposal will be submitted to obtain external funding. The number of research activities with external funding schemes is not limited. Publication of research results can be subject to publication incentives.
